Fogg Behavior Model

A conceptual framework for understanding fogg behavior in user behavior.

Fogg Behavior Model is a conceptual framework that describes how motivation, ability, and triggers interact to produce behavior. It states that behavior occurs when motivation and ability converge at the moment of a trigger. High motivation can overcome low ability; high ability can overcome low motivation; but without a trigger, neither produces action. In product design, Fogg Behavior Model explains why great products with high motivation still fail if the trigger is missing, and why simple products with clear triggers succeed even with modest motivation.
