Intent recognition is job recognition. When a user types a prompt, opens an app, or clicks a button, they are not expressing a feature request — they are signaling a job. AI products that recognize intent ("this user is trying to delegate judgment, not get information") can route them to the right mode, set appropriate expectations, and build trust.
