Job Story
Job Spec
A specification written from the user's job perspective, not the technology perspective.
A job spec frames requirements as progress a user needs to make, not as technical capabilities to build. It answers: what is the user trying to accomplish, in what context, with what constraints, and what would success look like? A tech spec answers: what features do we build, in what order, using what technologies? The difference determines whether the team builds what users hire or what they think users want.
