Passive Looking Phase
A stage in the user journey characterized by passive looking behavior and decision-making.
Passive Looking Phase is a discrete stage in the user's journey toward adopting or abandoning a product. Each phase has distinct behavioral signatures, emotional states, and decision criteria. Products that treat the user journey as uniform miss these phase-specific needs. Passive Looking Phase requires different design interventions than other phases: different messaging, different UX patterns, different success metrics. Understanding Passive Looking Phase allows product teams to meet users where they are.
