Scarcity and Urgency

Creating perceived limitation to accelerate the decision to switch or purchase.

Scarcity and urgency are tactics that amplify the Pull force by making the new solution feel time-limited or exclusive. They work because loss aversion makes potential missed opportunities feel more painful than the status quo. However, they must be genuine—fake urgency ('only 2 left!') destroys trust when users discover the deception. Genuine scarcity (limited beta access, early-bird pricing) creates real pull without damaging credibility.
