Social Proof
The psychological tendency to follow what others are doing, reducing anxiety about switching.
Social proof reduces the Anxiety force in the Four Forces equation by showing that others have already made the switch successfully. It includes testimonials, user counts, 'used by' logos, and peer recommendations. The most effective social proof is from people the user identifies with, not from generic endorsements. A developer's testimonial works for developers; a CEO's testimonial works for executives.
