The Invisible Product
A product so well-designed for the job that users forget they're using it.
The Invisible Product is the highest form of UX design: when the product disappears into the work and the user experiences only the progress. Zoom is invisible when the video just works. ChatGPT is invisible when the user feels like they're thinking, not prompting. Slack is invisible when the team just communicates. Invisibility is achieved when the product's interface requires zero cognitive load and the output feels like the user's own thinking.
